Greetings! Getting ready to discover Antarctica 2d time:)

Greetings to the community!

We are Aleksandr and Yulia. We were born in Russia and now live in USA.

7 days ago we bought our first sailboat! This is an unfinished Bruce Roberts Spray 40 project. We understand that this is a very serious project and requires a lot of work, but we understand that this is the boat that fits our interests. Though now we have more questions than answers

Aleksandr:
... lots of sport, travelled a lot (more than 1/2 million kilometers on motorcycle), also aviation (airplanes and helicopters). A few years ago I got official Schippers license, but my will to sail exceeds my experience)))

Yulia:
Little girl with big ambitions
Was born in a noble family, descendants of a well-known Russian admiral and explorer Mikhail Lazarev, one of the founders of Antarctica. Got her good education, but always dreamed of adventures and exploring. Travelled a lot, even worked on a cruise ship in Scandinavia and Baltic sea. Happily met Aleksandr one day and understood that now she can fulfil all her childish dreams, so she took her chance

We hope to meet interesting people find friends and help in this community.

Hi!
We are now in Brooklyn.
..and the boat is in Maine (beautiful state but too cold to work with the boat in winter)). We are now deciding (looking for information) where would we settle to work with her.

What condition is she in? Can you get her further south? Maine is very lovely and a wonderful sailing area, but a short season. The boatyard I'm at on the Chesapeake is a very good yard where a lot of folk work on their boats, myself included. Drop me a PM if you'd like.
