Greetings from Vermont

Hello all -

I am currently kept to weekend "camp cruising" until the kids get a little older. Plan is to spend (hopefully early) retirement cruising the Carribean and Atlantic coast.

I currently do my camp cruising in "Killyrover," a 16 foot sharpie flying a balanced lug sail, designed by Jim Michalak and built by me over two summers.
Here she is on launch day, last fall:

I look forward to learning from all of you.

David

Welcome aboard, David! Nice little boat you've got there--thanks for posting the pic. It's good family fun to have a boat that you can daysail and beach for picnics or exploring ashore. We had a Hobie 16 when our kids were growing up, and it sure gave us a lot of good memories.

Hud -- No way! This boat is for daddy to get away from the kids! (I have a 21 ft Four Winns powerboat for the family fun).

Bill - I have a Web site that followed the build -- more pics than you could ever want:

(I've been having trouble, so please let me know if the photo galleries don't load)

Speaking of pictures, I had trouble with some of the galleries--photos didn't load.
