Post Greetings from SV Astraea and her crew

Hello fellow sailors,
My name is Captain Wendell and my first mate is Wilson. We are a married gay couple who is preparing our chariot sailing vessel Astraea for her third world cruise. We are brand new to the cruising game, but we bought a craft that's a world Cruise veteran. It'll be interesting to read and learn from all of you and your experiences as we prepare our boat for our exciting journey. Please drop us a line and say hello!

Re: Greetings from SV Astraea and her crew

Are you guys funny?

It’s been my experience that SOME gay male couples are funnier by far than anyone else. Sure, some have the personality of baking pans. But I’ve meet many couples that could keep us rolling in laugher for hours. Too many to be coincidental. If you guys are funny it would be good to run into you.

Hope you don’t have a washer and dryer on board. Almost lost my wife to gay cruisers when they showed my wife the washer and dryer they had on the boat.

Good sailing!

Hello, Captain Wendell and Wilson. I checked out your gallery of images and would love to hear more about your sailboat, and how you made your choice. I'm guessing you're out in the Pacific Northwest, as it's rare to find a pilothouse near me. Best of luck to you in your future voyages.

How far outside the US are you planing to cruise out?
May want to freshen up on which countries actively criminalize gay couples and adjust if deciding to visit.

I had friends who were jailed in Barbados when they were affectionate to each other. The rest of the world sometimes is not as permissive as we are.

Re: Greetings from SV Astraea and her crew

Welcome.

I would suggest updating your profile with your general location and your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

I would happily help more if the link above is not enough.
