Greetings from San Diego

Hey all.

I've been reading Cruisers Forum for at least a year now and figured it was about time to register. This forum has been a great help; all hail the mighty search function!

My current boat is a '67 Wesco (Coronado) 25. I've worked up from a Sabot and Neptune 16. I've been sailing here in San Diego for a few years now. I learned to sail on lakes and rivers with no wind, so it's a nice change. So far, the longest 'cruise' I've taken on my own boat was a 35 mile sail downwind from Oceanside harbor (where I bought the Coronado last month) to Mission Bay, where she lives on a mooring.

Currently overhauling on the ball and would like to haul out before the end of the year. Planning at least one trip to Catalina this summer. This forum has been a huge help in figuring that out.

Anyhow, thanks for all the help and hopefully I will be able to contribute something as my experience increases.

Hello Atmartin and welcome to the forum. Good luck (and patience!!!) with the overhaul - and keep us posted on your experiences on your first mini-cruise to Catalina.
