Greetings From Panama City, Florida
My husband and i have been boating, cruising, for the better part of 20 years. In 2011 we purchased our dream boat and named her Pretty Sweet, hence the user name. We love boating, the boating community and all that it entails. We live in southeast Alabama but our boat is only 82 miles from the driveway, in Panama City, and we try to get to her every other weekend if not more frequently.

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Good to have you here.
I spent 3 years in the Milton, FL area while stationed there in the Navy. Left there in '69 so its been awhile.
Is that pretty close to you?
kind regards,

Hello SkiprJohn,
I guess you could says its kind of close if we're driving on interstate 10. Don't ever get around Milton on the
Intracoastal.
Still northwest Florida is a beautiful area. You should come back and visit.

Re: Greetings From Panama City, Florida
I remember the flat land, the pine forests and sandy soil. There were beautiful white sand beaches that resembled sugar. There was intense humidity in the summers and jasmine blooming with strong fragrance. It was before my sailing days but after serving aboard a couple of Navy destroyers and I left for Vietnam after my tour there. The Navy and life have sent me many other places and here in Hawaii is where I've settled. Still sailing off and on.
I checked MapQuest and it seems you are about 100 miles from Milton and the Pensacola area. Not too close.
kind regards,
