I don't think they come any more "wet behind the ears" as Jon & I are. Both in our mid & late 40's, we have just begun our quest to learn as much as we can learn about
live-aboard coastal cruising and anxious for this dream to become a reality. We've been married almost 25 years and have made several dreams reality so we are bound and determined to do this. We both have the drive and are
sold on the idea that "we can do this!"
Now, where to start?!
We are looking into
ASA Sailing
classes that are fairly close by. Living in the midwest though, it'll be limited "real world" experience for us for a while. We're curious to know what most people would recommend as far as getting experience and moving forward from this point? We're emersing ourselves in
books, magazines, online
forums like this one and whatever else we can find online to fill our hungry brains!
I expect we'll meet lots of new and possibly lifelong friends here and hope that no one gets tired of my "raw"
newbie questions. I know it can be frustrating for experienced cruisers but I would really enjoy
learning from all of you as we embark on this adventure!
