The easy part is finding the boat. The hard part is finding a marina in south Florida that will permit you to work on it over the next couple of years.

Welcome Tom, half the fun is looking for the new boat, then you have the joy of refitting her, then off you go into the wild blue yonder!

welcome aboard.

My hubby and I have been looking for a boat since Oct 2007. We retired this spring.

We still don't have our live aboard boat. Good idea to start 5 years early. You might easily spend 2 years just finding the right boat.

yes became partial to fin keel when we had the hunter but could live with a full keel cause of the vagabond. want a large cockpit, large beem, aft stateroom - preferably centercockpit, preferably sloop , 36 - 4+- foot, and maybe someone who would hold paper for 1-2 years -

Send a message via Yahoo to gonesail
true statement: find a place to store or dock the boat BEFORE you buy it.

Aloha and Welcome aboard!
It is a very good idea to find a place for a boat or at least do the research before you buy the boat.
Good luck in your search.
kind regards,
JohnL
