Greetings from Collingwood, Ontario

I look forward to communications with members. I live near Collingwood, Ontario Canada and keep my '85 MacGregor 25 at the Collingwood Yacht Club situated on southern Georgian Bay. I have been sailing for 8 years and look forward to sailing in our "North Channel" (Manitoulin Island) this summer.
I am interested in the MacGregor 26 and request suggestions/recommendations re a possible purchase.

Hi there 'cap'n tom...Perhaps my husband and I will see you this summer, as we will also be sailing the North Channel. We purchased our first boat last fall and are just chomping at the bit to get out there. Sailed with my parents as a teen, on their Tanzer, and they've just purchased a hunter 31....as much as I adore my parents I don't want to be 'stuck' on a boat with them, so my hubby and I bought our own, a 30' Grampian.

I've seen a number of macgregors on kijiji, maybe try looking there. We origionally were looking at those, but found ourselves falling in love with our Grampian.

We've been to the North Channel a few times and are heading up again this summer. Is this going to be your first trip there?

I don't have any experience with either of the MacGregors you mentioned. Have had my eye on a Venture of Newport that keeps popping up on craigslist from time to time in the PNW.
