Greetings from Austin

Hello all!

My wife and I have learned a lot from this forum over the past couple of years and look forward to learning more.

We bought a 44' Gulfstar motor sailer 18 months ago that we are refitting. We had her hauled up to a lake near Austin, where we live, to get more work time in as she needs some serious TLC.

I recently retired from 33 years in high tech and we plan to put her back on the Gulf of Mexico soon, get her to the point she is livable and seaworthy, then make our way down to Belize where we are planning to live for awhile.

Thanks in advance for all the advice!

Re: Greetings from Austin

Thanks all,

Good to know there are things in common aside from a love of boats and the water.

I'm going to call up Brother Maynard now as I need to go blow up my old exhaust system
