Greetings from a new member in St. Petersburg, FL

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for allowing me to join your group. I'm new to sailing and the idea of living aboard a sail boat someday. I've grown up in and around water my whole life. Avid boater, jet skiing, swimmer, fishing, scuba diving and recently took up spearfishing. To be honest I come from a power boat background and use to laugh at sailboats. I know there are several power boaters here. It wasn't till recently that I caught an interest in sailboats as a way to live and travel. Getting close to retirement age not to mention the general need to unplug from the corporate world and be on the water full time. I won't be doing much posting as I have a lot of research to do. So basically I'll be reading the entire site!

If I'm lucky enough and things go as planned, maybe I'll see some of you on the water someday.

Howdy and Ahoy Troy!

Welcome Aboard CF!

Yes, there are powerboat owners on this site too. They are good members who contribute their wisdom and experience on many topics. I continue to learn a lot from them.

So, this site has a mix of boaters (sail and power).

Have fun on the forum and on the water!
