Greetings from a new Elite 29 Owner!

Greetings everyone.

Just wanted to introduce... recently picked up a 1985 Elite 29... it needs a ton of interior work but we are excited to take on this project and get it ready for spring racing! Have sailed off an on for years and eventually want to retrace a transatlantic sail I did about 30 years ago... This is not the boat for that but am looking forward to advice and wisdom as we start the process of repairing, refurbishing an renewing this beautiful boat.

It's a unique swing keel design. Top mast rig. No sign of spinny gear but will be investigating that further..

Right off the bat, I'll ask... anyone know of any Elite 29 sites online? Different languages is fine... trying to track down as much as I can about this boat but there is not much available... the Yahoo Group site for them was shut down back in 2020 apparently...

Anyway, happy to join this community! Looking forward to learning from all of you.

Respectfully,
Semper Paratus!

Welcome and fair winds. Looks like it's going to be a fun boat!
