Greetings from a crew wannabe

Greetings from a traveler. I went to Myrtle Beach to join my new captain, but found him physically and many other ways unable to sail. I would have stayed with him on the boat while looking for another captain, but hurricane Matthew came. I helped secure the boat and drove west. I am in Houston visiting family and feeling a little homeless, after becoming home-free and ready to live aboard a sailboat. I came here to this site to look at the crew want ads and maybe post one of my own. I heard about this site from my friend Art who has been living aboard his sailboat with his 1st mate Jean for many years. I am originally from Minnesota. My first ocean sailing adventure was in January to March, 2015 from Mexico to Cuba to Florida. I published a story about the experience in SouthWindsMagazine in September 2015. I was very lucky to get a good captain (actually two!), and hope to get lucky again.
