Well Cor just basics I'd say go to the ASA website. To get a leg up on learning the basics.. they have a free course that will help out the extreme beginner. For the novice sailer that already knows the parts of the sailboat and basic seamanship, like who has the right of way. Knowing port from starboard, forward from aft.. you'll need either physical classes or find a friend that would be willing to take you sailing when they go out.

https://asa.com/online-sailing-course/ it called my first sail.. this is the course that I was talking about for the very beginner

much to tell about boats but the varieties are huge and the margins small. are you looking at solo-sailing around the world or luxurious coastal sailing down the icw ? :-)

Re: Greetings form Melbourne FL

As far as my Sailing plans, right now im not sure.. the quick story is, im a 34 Y/O Former US Marine living at home with mom, dad and an 88 Y/O Grandmother with Dementia. So for the time being I plan on just living on it till its paid off Plus a bit saved back for costs of Dockage, if I choose to use docks, may just find anchorages to use.
