Greetings and Salutations

I dont think that I have posted on here before so I will at least introduce myself.

My name is actually Mike, I use Einarr in the medieval re-enactment that I do. (SCA)

I have been interested in sailing and cruising for years, every since I spent a summer as a deck hand on a 60' Schooner when I was 16.

Ultimately I would like to build my own boat. At this point in time I can not seem to decide of what type or style but I doo seem to come back to three styles. The Chesapeake skipjack, the NZ scow and double canoes.

I personally am not interested in the speed aspect of sailing. Why get out of the rat race just to go race again?

Aloha Mike,
Welcome to the forum. Good to have you here and I hope you make some local sailing contacts to get you out on the water. I like the Skipjacks too. I wish there were smaller fiberglass versions of them.
Kind regards,
JohnL

Welcome aboard. How about fleshing out your profile so we know just a bit more about you. You might be close enough to another member to occasionally share a cold one.
