Hello,
My name is Chip Packard, I am a native south Floridian, and have been sailing since I was about 6 years old, and I sailed on the United States Naval Academy Sailing team while I was at
Annapolis for college. And raced as crew with the Gulfstream sailing club until my wife Michelle and I had our first child. We now have two boys Colin(20) and Tristan(17).
Almost three years ago we stumbled upon a FREE 1983
Hunter 31 on Facebook, and our
boat ownership adventure began. I have documented our
restoration on a Facebook page linked in my signature.
We are currently
racing and cruising with the Hillsboro Inlet Sailing club, and having lots of fun.
In about a year and a half our youngest son Tristan will be going off to college, leaving us with an empty nest. Michelle and I are currently making plans to sell the house upgrade the
boat, and move afloat. We are currently considering a sailing cat in the 36' to 42' range. I am looking forward to reading all of the threads, and picking your brains with questions.
