Thumbs up Greetings!

I am new to the forum and just wanted to say hi! I've already learned so much just poking around this site. Thanks!

Although my actually sailing experience is a bit limited I've long dreamed of living aboard some day, a dream not shared by my lovely bride of 30 years. Our compromise is to travel fulltime in our 5th wheel trailer. I'm hoping to get a small boat and do some lake sailing and a little coastal. Maybe that will help...and who knows, maybe wife will warm up to the idea.

Remember..."the journey's the thing"

Hitch - trade that 5th wheel for an RV and tow a boat! My brother has a small 15 footer that we take on lakes when I visit. It's a lot of fun.

BTW - Welcome aboard.

Aloha Hitch,
Welcome aboard! You'll find lots of suggestions as to how to fulfill your dreams. Another way is to do as your name implies and that's to crew for some folks for a few days a year. It can be rewarding and you'll learn a lot about different kinds of boats and different kinds of people.
Start Sailing Right! is a great book for folks with limited sailing experience as you state that you have.
Kind regards,
JohnL
