Good morning / afternoon / evening
Hello to all you lucky cruisers out there in your different time zones, a pair of newbies here who have recently sold a motor cruiser (boo hiss I hear !!) and looking to join the sailing cruisers club (if you will have us ?). We are looking to purchase a second hand live aboard of around 39 - 45ft for our favourite location, the Caribbean all of the islands of course. To be fair we have limited sailing experience but willing to learn and can make a nice cup of tea when things go wrong !!.
Feel free to let us know if you know of a good prospect, for a pair of "poor" Brits looking to "live the dream".

Hi Just Cruisin
Welcome aboard!
Tea is a panacea for most things isn't it . I have a pot of Earl Grey at my elbow at the moment.
Hope you find a suitable boat soon.
Happy cruising!

Re: Good morning / afternoon / evening
Hi again, well we are presently in Torbay in "sunny" Devon ..lol, very close to that Mecca to sailing that is Dartmouth. We have just returned from Prickly Bay, Grenada looking at possible purchases and this is where we are looking to base ourselves to explore those beautiful islands, hopefully very soon. Where are you Bluewaters ?.

We're in Oundle, about 100m North of London, sadly. About as far as you can get from the ocean in the UK lol. Can't wait to get out of here and back to the ocean. This is the longest I have been based away from the sea.

Lol, no promises . Yeah, Rushden a short distance away down the A605/A45. Good luck with your search and keep in touch. I wish we could just get everything over and done with right now and get out there and get our boat!

Nah, the sun is shinning in through the office window as a I type and I might go for a quick sail tomorrow around the Solent to try out the new sail. Welcome to the forum btw from sunny Gosport.
