Glad to Be Here

Just a quick into:

I've been lurking for a while & I finally joined the forum. I plan to "retire" in 5 years (would do it sooner, but I'm in the military & they'd lock me up if I tried) and cruise for a few months at a time. My wife & I have a modest house in eastern central FL, so we can cruise the Bahamas/Caribbean pretty easily. Well, that's the plan...for now. I'm deployed to Afghanistan now , & this forum is keeping me sane . Thanks to all for the great posts.

Re: glad to be here

Boomer to Doomer, Welcome to the Cruiser's Forum. There are some wonderful Indian River locations that offer casual day sailing and ocean access for cruisng to the Bahamas. Keep us posted with your quest.
