G'day from Australia

Hi all, my name is Peter.
My wife Val and I have owned a Fountaine Pajot "Lavezzi" 40' cat for the past two years. We have lived on her full time for about sixteen months, cruising between the Gold Coast and Townsville on the Queensland coast. We are now in Mooloolaba planning our next trip.
I have been snooping around the forum since before we bought Duet and thought it was about time I made myself known. Keep up the good work and I hope I can contribute something from time to time.

How are you Peter, don't get to poke my head in as often as I used to but welcome aboard.

I look forward to seeing you on the water one day soon. (Got to finish mine off first)

Dave

I am in Rockhampton at the moment finishing a few things off and then selling a new build(house).

In a couple of months I will be back into it full time and cashed up enough (hopefully)to get a bit of help in to finish her off.

I've been very bad and havent done anything to her for almost a year, but now the "how to fund it all plan" is almost finalised (part B anyway) and now I can see where all the dollars are comming from to achieve the dream.

When I first started I had no idea where the cash was comeing from and was just making it up as I went.

I feel a bit happier now knowing I can actually go cruising, and not have a need to necessarily get a job to pay for the next load of diesel.

I can start sleeping better at night now.

How about you ?, paint was going on last time I looked in, so you'll beat me to the splash (I think everyone will)

Dave

Hi Peter and Val, good to hear from you. We live on the Gold Coast but have our boat (monohull) in NZ at the moment. We will get a cat one day (those Pajot's are very nice) and hope to cruise the same part of the coast as you have been doing, for a while. Lovely part of the world.

All the best for your next trip!
Cheers
Clyde and Lisa
