Hello
I am relocating into the Tampa St. Pete area and am looking forward to getting into a live aboard arrangement on a sail boat. I have bare boated frequently out of Tortola (mostly boats over 40') and fell a need to try this living arrangement as perhaps a change in future lifestyles. I am interested to hear the more experienced viewpoint and advice from the members of the forum.

Welcome and good luck with the plans.
We've found 'livaboards' tend to fit into a couple of broad categories. Those who simply live on board in perhaps a nicer climate than they'd enjoy 'at home' and many of whome still go off to work each day, and those who cruise around from place to place and definately don't tend to earn a wage.
We're luckily in the second grouping - and for what it's worth - its great!
