Finally putting her in!

Ahoy all! My name is Josh and my girlfriend is Andrea, we bought a 1977 40' Cheoy Lee last year and named her The Turning Point. We are putting her in on the Ashley river in Charleston SC and are very excited to say the least. We've both been around boats for years but this is the first one we have owned. It was only a stripped down hull when we bought her but hope our hard work will float tomorrow! We will be asking a lot of questions (sorry) and figured this would be the best place for advice and info. Wish us luck and please pray for us, we know we have a long way to go but both firmly believe that through God all things are possible! Thanx in advance, God bless you and stay salty! Josh and Ann

Josh, congrats all around.
Please post some pictures of her for us to enjoy, and throw in a few of the Cheoy Lee too!

Hi Josh and Ann
Good luck with your adventure!
I am in Charleston as well....well really Folly Beach. I put my first boat in the water two years ago and have not regretted the jump.
Regards, John

Josh and Ann, enjoy the adventure! Charleston harbor and the rivers are a great place to learn. You'll have lots of opportunities to practice your piloting and radio skills in the busy harbor. Consider getting a Standard Horizon 2150 VHF radio w AIS so you can easily hail tugs and other ships by name.
