FINALLY Got the Boat !

Hi folks, its official we now have a yacht as of today. First cruise will be in roughly 10 days time from Australia's Whitsundays to Cairns and we are rapidly getting prepared - how exciting! This has been a dream for us for at least the last 8-10 years, its great to be finally able to plan some holidays and join the boating community, look forward to learning lots from all you seasoned sailors. Thanks to all for our welcomes, we are glad to be in your community now and safely sailed our first trip two weeks ago. Did we enjoy it, yes without a doubt but although we have owned smaller sail boats before we did learn a lot on this trip too. Mainly, things about the boat, biggest gripe...hate the small pump flush toilet with a passion, we are intent on buying a nice big, automatic flush loo with a macerator installed on it. Also we found a lot of the wiring to be in a state of disrepair and thankfully hubby is an electrician so we are getting that sorted and then it will be onto the other thousand different plans we have for the boat, so, as we make the improvements I will post pics to keep you all informed of how we are going.
