Hi everyone, thank you for having me aboard!
I'm embarking on a new life adventure with my husband (let's call him Q).
After raising a
family, we're now turning our sights from our Sunshine Coast hinterland home in
Queensland, Oz to
living aboard an SV. Q films his
scuba dives for youtube and is ready to explore dive sites further afield. We're both adventurers at heart and now our parenting duties are contractually over (as our son has turned 18), we've decided to go all out and
live aboard. First course is to set sail up and down the SE coast of Oz.
We're both noobs at sailing, but have been avidly
learning about this lifestyle and what we can about cats. Yes, we've got to the point of making our our first major decision - choosing a
catamaran over a mono-hull. And boy, there is so much more to learn ...
Anyway, I discovered this forum while Googling for info on
hull materials as there's so much confusion as to what is best and what should be avoided - and found myself reading a really helpful thread here. Hence deciding to join.
Hopefully one day, I will have some real experiential knowledge of my own that I can contribute here, but for now, I'll probably do a lot of lurking and heaps of reading! Thank you for letting me learn from you all.
