Deja vu all over again?

hello, i've really been enjoying this forum--and learning and re-learning much about boat ownership. I spent more than a decade, some decades ago, in the business of boat gear, boats and boat magazines, but now in my dotage find myself the owner of a Tartan 27, with growing ambitions to go cruising again.

I've come across reference to another T27--Hygelig-- owned and modified for world cruising by Russ Cobb, but can't find what modifications Russ made, other than converting forepeak to storage. Does anyone have a bit more information on that? i have a couple of years in hand for boat alterations

regards
John

Re: Deja vu all over again?

thanks, Gord. Yes, i've seen that thread and i'm interested in learning what modifications R. Cobb made for offshore sailing, though i expect they are just (un)common sense.I know he went to jib furling and although i have a furler on my boat, they have been a problem in the past, one i didn't enjoy offshore

Gord has been the best source of information here on the forum forever.
Tartan 27 is one of my favorite boats.
