thank you for the kind responses folks...and yes, i think she is sweet, erika. i'll post up some picks soon, the only pics i have are from when i bought her 6 yrs ago. right now i've been dealing w/ an engine issue. the yanmar 3gm30 has a fuel pump issue thats in the middle of being corrected. the ole run away engine trick. i'm lucky she didn't blow up when it all went wrong. had to choke her out w/ a bilge plug. at least i was at the dock at that moment. turns out to be 2 broken spings in the pump. it was dumping fuel, and the shut off lever didn't work...wow, what a morning! it's still a fix in progress.

Aloha,
Runaway engine, wow, what excitement! I think I'll have a way to cut off air if it ever happens. I did shut down a Volvo with a rubba slippa once. You, know, a flip flop, but it wasn't running more than above high idle.
Welcome aboard and I'd love to see photos when you get them together.
Kind regards,
JohnL

i have some nico pics uploaded to my profile now...and to correct myself, they're from early '04 and a couple from this year, and one from on the hook in '07.
also, it turns out the engine deal wasn't just the fuel pump. a mechanic friend of mine rebuilt the pump, replaced the springs from another pump i had.(had some spair parts from a dif yanmar) it seems theres another gov problem...maybe the gov weight, i'm not sure, yet. i will know soon, but not soon enough!

nico105,
She has beautiful lines. Do you know if they built many Invicta mk2? I think I've only seen one down here in Texas (years ago). Is she Sparkman & Stevens design or even an Alberg? Sorry about your cushions, your four legged friend looks quite happy in the picture
Cheers,
Erika

ocean girl,
i'm not sure how many were built...but if hull numbers are anything like check #s, nico would be the 5th one built -1965 - but i don't know if that's the case w/ hull #s. the invicta 1 was disigned by bill trip. invicta 2 was a bill shaw modification of the flush deck design of bill trip. i did hear from a local sailor here that there was one racing on the cheasapeake a number of years ago.
thankyou for your kind remarks about her, and to spot...he always looks happy, unless you're to close to his face!
