Hello MarinerJo: This reply is a bit dated. I am the proud owner of a Creala 36. It was indeed designed by
Crealock but was built in the
Philippines, by
Pacific Seacraft -
Philippines, no connection with the US company. There were nine Creala 36's built. The reason so few were fabricated is because the Canadian and Filipino partners had a falling out and the
hull moulds were destroyed in a fire. If anyone is looking for a well-built, easily sailed and comfortable
boat, the Creala 36 is just what you need. Unlike many high production boats, every point of the
boat is readily accessible. In fact, a
storage bin in the the lazarett can be removed and you can get inside the stern with access to the quadrant, manual
bilge pump and the stern through-hulls. By the way, I am currently selling my boat due to a business venture, though I will hopefully take her off the market at the end of this year. If interested, you can contact me @
bucephalus1950@yahoo.com Note that she is at Yacht Haven Marina, Phuket,
Thailand. Happy sailing.
