Colvic Victor 34

Hi, I,ve just registered on the forum and could do with any advice or experience related to the colvic victor 34. I have just bought one and have started to rip it out for a total refit. The boat is sloop rigged and was previously ketch rigged. Anyone own one or did own one - what do you think. It will be reequipped to a high standard over the next 9 months and is based in southern spain. When finished it will be sailing to Greece for a while. Hope you can help. Thanks

Aloha and welcome aboard!
I've done much the same with my boat and my advice is to save as much as you can for patterns to rebuild bulkheads and cabinetry. Use good quality marine wood if you are going to rebuild in wood/plywood.
I'm not familiar with your boat's design but can offer encouragement.
Good luck in your refit.
kind regards,

Re: Colvic Victor 34

Sad to say still at the rebuild although it is going well. Now in a sailing condition although another years work before finished ( if ever). Just sailed the boat round from cartagena to San Pedro and after two years work it was good to actually sail her. Bit stressfull for a first sail but went like a dream. Enjoying the work now as you can actually see the results. I was impressed with how well the colvic victor sails, it exceeded my expectations. Just another years work to go!
