Don't it get cold up thar where you sail? Cold wet hands on wet sheets on a breezy day can be an interesting combo. I have found it's not about the blister its about the grip. PS-You let the sheets 'slip' through your hands? I must be doing something Wraung...
Yup gets cold but someone once told me to HTFU.

It was the OP that mentioned blisters. I say, what is their skin made of, even my wife doesn't get blisters.

Yes it's about the grip and my studly hands (n/k) grip the sheets just fine.

Wasn't it you that made a point about reading too much or too little into a post? If my gloves are sticking to a sheet when I'm trying to let go, yeah I think I'd like the sheet to slip through my hand, wouldn't you?

If you follow the links, they are packaged by the carton. One thing I can promise is I would never pay for Gill or WM "$ail Gloves".

So maybe bedazzle your gloves? They do sound like good gloves picking up our local bow/stern mooring lines which are usually covered with sharp little creatures. Always ruin my Gills. Cheers!

Yikes...The only line that 'slips' through my hands is the ayso kite sheet on an outside gybe and that's when I race. I ease my grip, albeit still around the winch with 2 wraps, and it slips fine. It's a hot ease on a J-133 with 2400 sq ft #4 ayso. Could never do that bare handed nor would I want to.
