Cool Cat in the Conch Republic (Florida Keys!)

Hi Yawl,
Just got my 1997 Prout 39 to Key Largo, Fl. from Annapolis, Maryland. Would be great to here from other Prout owners to discuss boat systems and set ups, etc. "Double Bells" has been set up for extensive cruising and while ready to go her new owner (Capt. Karl) has some planned upgrades to make.

I'd like to know what the original marine head / waste system configuration is because I need to upgrade the holding tank system. Any help would be appreciated. Hope to hear from ya.
Karl

Prout Escale "Cat's Pyjamas

Hello Karl;

Welcome to Florida! I am a little south of you near Ft Lauderdale. We love it down here. So much so, we decided to do much of our refitting here instead of going back up to North Carolina. We just purchased a 37' Privilege. Nice boat, but needs a bit of work.

Anyway. While searching for information on catamaran systems and refitting. I ran across this web site:

http://www.vonwentzel.net/Prout/index.html

I have had occassion to email Constantin a couple of times and he is a very nice guy. VERY knowlegeable, especially about the 37 and 39 foot Prouts. As you would see if you browsed his website he has spent a signifcant amount rebuilding the systems of his Prout. Check it out and shoot him an email. I sure he'd love to speak to a fellow owner.

Keith

Oh, If you are ever down around Hollywood FL. Drop by the the city marina. I'd love to chat.
