Canadian Newbe

Hi, Just a little introduction, I am a marine engineer, and I work for the Canadian Coast Guard on the east coast, I am purchsing a 1987 Tayana 37 mk2 and look forward to sailing it for the first time in May next year. At the present I am in the Straights of Bell Isle, heading back to St John's Newfoundland, having just spent 14 days with the science research vessel. I am looking forward to getting home for some rest.
Thats it for now, any questions?? please feel free to ask.

Trevor

Re: Canadian Newbe

Bit of a drag... that's a good one.
I'm from Charlottetown too, my wife and I cruised our Corbin 39 to Europe and the Caribbean and places in between. We sold the Corbin in 2009 to build a Cat here in Charlottetown. Will you keep the Tayana in Ch'town? My wife and I love the Tayanas, good choice.
Cheers.
Paul.

Re: Canadian Newbe

Hi Paul,
We live in Peakes, and I am going to keep the boat in Souris, I recomend it to you, very quiet and protected from the weather, with a carry lift standing by at all times.
Anytime you wanna go sailing, and I am not working it would be a pleasure. I found the boat in Arichat N.S and plan to sail it home next spring.

Hi Rick,
If you ever want to get back to basics, come on back and go sailing.

Been there, done that Trevor. It's a young man's game now. Four years to go and I'm outta here. We'll motor by your lovely island around the summer of 2016 so if we need saving I'll call you up!
