Bringing back the family name S/V Friendship

Time to say hello from portland. I decided 5 months ago to sell all my large things and move to a sailboat. There where a few reasons for me first be close to my dad and help him more, he lives on a 40ft tolley craft which after bringing it up the coast 400nm i was hooked with coastal cruising.

After staying on his boat for about 2 months i was offered to buy a 1972 ericson 27ft sailboat with a yanmar diesel, roller furling , good sails for now and a nice galley to start with and it was 2200 dollars.

Have i sailed before meh few times on a 12ft hobie AND 18Ft hobie but that is ok. This gets me learning and into my next boat since i am a handy guy and these boats are still worth something.

Anyone from portland want to get out and sail let me know.

Welcome! Sailing is addictive, and it's surprising how quickly you can get completely sucked into it. Have fun

Projects are getting closer. Progress to come. New electronics from b&g radar and autopilot. Refinish inside and a lot of DIY projects i am doing with a audiophile sound system.
