Brand Spanking New...

We recently bought a day sailor after a deal with a PSC flicka fell through.
I have since convinced Admiral Alison to consider other boats. This pointed "us" towards a PSC Dana or Mariha, until I found my next choice. I passed by the vessel innocently tied to the boards on a few occasions, until today when we spotted the owner working on her. I introduced my wife and I. The current owner let me take a look down below and I coerced my lovely Fleet Admaral to come below and look. I now need to finish a home inprovement project in about 60 days in it looks like we have the base of an extended cruise ship. Now comes the snicker factor. She is a factory finished Westsail 32. The mail criteria was survivability and live aboard ability. I was pushing for a Westsail 32 and I finally got her to see the light as well as feeling the solidness of her decks. The skipper only has time to work on her in intervals, but by the next time he is in town we should be able to meet a number he tossed out there.
No delusions, I have a bit of work to do even before a survey will be done.

No worries, I can do quiet a bit of work, even when it is the first time doing things.. I can't wail to hemmorage an appalling amount of money, to get a sail boat that will be well worth what we put in to her, and more importantly, what we get out of her by doing what we want to do. Go long, go deep, go soon.

In a couple of months and this goes as planned I will post a picture of her.
Cheers,
Dennis N Alison

Aloha and Welcome aboard!
I've had the pleasure of a sail aboard a WS 32 and they are solid and safe sailers. Congratulations if it goes through.
regards,
