It's a good thing you got out of the army, they're a land based service, they frown on the whole living on the water thing, that's the Navy's turf, don't want to step on their toes.

Anyway, welcome to the forum, hope it works for you.

What kind of boat do you have?
What have you done to it in the last 4yr?
What's your sailing experience?
What's your crew situation?
Adelie

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Lots of former and retired military on the forum. Thanks for your service. You can live on your boat and continue the dream.

You are a good age to make a major voyage. Plenty of time for adventures. I wish I had started my circumnavigation 10 years earlier when I was 37. That I would have meant I did it in my Westsail 32 rather than my catamaran. I probably would have done the same trip.
