Belated Hello!

Good morning CF! Lurked and read here for years but recently had more questions than the search function could handle.
Love this site and SA as well, nice people and more information and ideas than I can handle most days.
I have surfed and sailed since my 4th birthday in 1965...
Currently own a 1971 32 Samson C-Mist hull, owner finished Cutter, just finishing up repairs and refit. She was going to be parted out and scrapped (why I bought her) but after inspection, she was deemed much too sea worthy to be given up on. She is set up for single handed now (I know, a Cutter? Single handed?) and needs just some finishing touches.

Previous S/V was a 36' Samson as well but sloop rigged.
I am a big fan of ferro cement...

I live on the Coast of Oregon, surf daily when weather permits and I am on the lake in my 15.5 S/V at least once a week. That little boat was a one off by Mastercraft, planing hull with a tall rig at 22'. Fast and scary at times, it keeps me sharp (and wet).

My Suhail Cutter will be my last S/V, plans in the works are to use her for tuna fishing the next three years and then off to Mexico/Hawaii and back to Oregon after that. She gets more love, money and attention than the wife and I get just as much aggravation for the same effort.
Thanks for reading.

Re: Belated Hello!

Aloha and welcome aboard!
As an original Oregonian with a longtime classmate in Coos Bay I know your weather and area.
Congratulations on the ferro adoption. Just got back from a cruise from San Diego to La Paz with a bus ride and flight back to Hawaii and if you ever get to Hawaii look me up.
One of my buddies here used to manage the Samson yard down in Southern California.
kind regards,
