autonav

hi guys

we have a 1988 brewer 44 staysail cutter (brand new to us) equipped with a vintage 2000 autonav computer. it allegedly runs our wind instruments (currently sent away for repair,) our chart plotter and our autopilot.

we know nothing about the system, its requirements or limitations. we can't contact any of the three previous owners.

is there anyone who knows this system, uses it or can shed some light?

thanks

bruce and dawn

Enjoyed your blog. We are just retired; sold everything; bought boat and trying to get equipment and refit work complete so we can head out. We have a great slip in downtown Ft. Lauderdale Florida for now, but can't wait to hit the blue water and come to your part of the world.

Have you tried the manufacturers web site? They often have manuals available for download.

Re: autonav

Hello, we are new to this forum. We have chosen to join to inform ourselves as much as possible to multihull sailboats. We have come to the decision of buying a 40' Leopard after weighing in on Lagoons, fp's.
We are unique as we are bucking the trend going from live aboard power to live aboard sail.

Re: autonav

Aloha all,
RLeopard. If you haven't already found the multihull forum then that would be a good place to ask your questions.
You've posted on a thread that was start 6 years ago so you may not get any responses here.
kind regards,

Re: autonav

Hi
We have a Westsail 42 with an Autonav autopilot that I installed. Autonav had been sold to Comnav. I needed parts and called them. They are supporting some of the parts. I do not know the current status of Autonav. Paul Wagner was only selling parts for a while years ago. If you deal with him be very careful. This info is several years old.
