Re: Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi, Oi, Oi
Welcome Reid, I guess this means we'll have to take some serious effort to learn the meanings of all these strange idioms! I met an Australian during a recent cruise that convinced me to suggest, "Let's bite the heads off a few weasels!", when suggesting a round of beers. ...'and then the other Australians looked as if I was an animal abuser!....and this included the "friend" who suggested the phrase. I'll try to be ready.

G'Day CaptF thanks for the warm welcome. In advance here is a few more to swat up on if they are heard in coversation with another Aussie digger:
The Trouble and Strife = The wife
A Noah's Ark = A shark
A dog's eye = A meat pie
Dead Horse = Tomato sauce
Oxford Scholars = Dollars

For Gods sake, Man up! You whine about bloody drop bears and startled Wallabies when my pet Wombat has sustained a serious injury.
He was testing his new wings when he flew too low over the barbed wire back fence and may never breed again.
You try dragging a 45 kg wombat with a broken wing over the back fence and then tell me how Aussie you are.
Regards. Shiner

Thats the problem with the those bloody things and why the greens are trying to stop people like you breeding them. Crossbreeding of emus and wambies needs to be stopped now!!! Krikey, With the cost of training and poor breeding programs, why cant you just get a marsupial like everyone else? Its not fair on the animals that a born in these breeding programs. I know I am going to open a whole can of worms. But jeese mate. Its not profitable, its not responsible and it needs to stop.
Besides, you show me one Wambie flyer that will stay on a boat and not get spooked. At least Marupials of all kinds will stay aboard once trained.
