Re: Anyone Seen This Boat In Person?

Nice boat but its 60 years old and wood. That 100g's could turn into 200 or 300 real quick. Then it will probably cost at least 10 or 15k a year for general upkeep. Take her out it will cost you 15 or 20 bucks a mile. A fill up 15,000 or 20,000.

Re: Anyone Seen This Boat In Person?

s/v footloose....ya may be right.cause yar' are matey,we know old wooden boat dreams -we been Thar and loved em.

'cept its a business proposition. Its as old as i am and probably just as critically in the good old sense.
The first hundred only buys her, your right. Will cost more than 10-15 to keep her.
Correct again.

Take her out will be 15-20 per mile.

Correct,again.
I don't know what you do ,but seems like a good deal to me to be on a nice lovely yacht. Some of us old veterans only dream of the thought ,but here is a real circumstance.

You would be a happy foot loose and fancy free fellow if we invited you on board for a cruise?

We are only dreaming and talking and trying to make our dreams real before we die.
I been fortunate to have been on a nice frigate in a hurry-cane in the Atlantic and a nice big boat is still in my dreams. So give us the latitudes to dreams and give us some encouragement's along with yawer with-all,my friend.

I'm still in and I'm still dreaming and the more we search her and the possibility ..it /she still looks like a good Ole girl!

iT'S the most beautiful Hardship Yacht you or we can buy ,locked /docked and floating before we die as grumpy old veteran's?

Correct?

so,my friend ,please donut tell us we are good old fools.

Help us ...live our dreams before we die...some of us are as thick as wood.

I been crunch-in the numbers and looking at the available information....without seeing and smelling her in person...and she is a dream come true,no?

Everyone laughs at the boat because of wisdom or jealousy,,,,,or both.

Correct

please all help us to find her a loving home or help us find our dreams in reality.

Cheers and Thanks,mateys

Shes so gad-Dam! gorgeous and we ain't rich and we all get poorer everyday.

A wise old woman will beat a young chick-anyway!

PS-I thankfully still have some friends in the Royal Canadian Navy and some more other good friends in the US Navy ,,,,that would meet me and fill us up in Dar way to Hawaii!

Re: Anyone Seen This Boat In Person?

As it seems the tide has ebbed on this thread I feel it is the appropriate time to add:

Oh snap! Bash is on the bay. Will Bash anchor out to watch the Cup and importantly, is there any elbow room left for a poor sod like me?
