Another former Lurker

I blame my friend Bill. Had been asking people to come out on his boat for a couple years. I finally went out last summer. Now I go to the river every chance I get. I'll die a cash poor but very rich man someday. Now dreaming of growing old Island hopping. Thank you all for the lessons already learned and many more to come.

Re: Another former Lurker

Welcome aboard.

We will be inland cruising next year from Galveston Bay, Tx. and probably settle down for the rest of the year in the northern part of KY. Lake. That just sounds bad. Make that - the northern part of Kentucky Lake

Now the funny part of the story, We bum sails on the Ohio river in Kentucky and are planning to end up cruising out of the Galveston area when everything comes together. Yes the whole state initials thing is rather unfortunate.

James

Every state has got to be known for something.

We plan on leaving Galveston Bay around Feb when the weather gets a little warmer down here.
When are you planning on leaving Kentucky area?
I assume you have a sailboat. Am I correct?
Sre you coming down the Mississippi the whole way or are you coming down the Tenn-Tom and out through Mobile Bay, Al.?

Re: Another former Lurker

Unfortunately all I'm sailing right now is an easy chair and other peoples boats. Things are still in the dream stage at this point. I'm still looking at a few more years to get real. (son finishing High School) But until then
