Hi Mark
Welcome to CF!
The Cole 43 Anaconda won the Melbourne to Hobart race on handicap about a decade ago. It was kept at Sandringham Yacht Club then (Port Phillip Bay, Victoria), my old stomping ground .
PS If you contacted Sandy Yacht Club they could probably give you more info.

Re: Anaconda
I have just joined this page as I saw a post from 2013 regarding a Cole 43 Anaconda from Hobart,
If this person still is a member I can give him some information about her time in Adelaide at RSAYS as Born Free.
Cheers

Re: Anaconda
I'm new and joined because I saw these posts. Our family was the original owner of Born Free. We had her built on the central coast of NSW and many enjoyable times before she was sold to SA. Competed once in the Sydney to Noumea race. If anyone is still interested in her history happy to be contacted. Would like to know what's happening with her.

Re: Anaconda
Looks like the OP made only this post back in 2013. You could try PMing him, maybe he will get an email notification.

Re: Anaconda
Hi I am looking for any information on the Cole 43 boar that was originally called Born Free. Seems the name is now Anaconda. I am trying to locate the boat for my elderly father in law to perhaps visit it. He is planning a trip to Hobart in December and I am wondering where the boat might be at present.
Our family was the original owner of Born Free. We had her built on the central coast of NSW and many enjoyable times before she was sold to SA. I think that might be Jimmy Howell who then bought the boat. Any information would be appreciated.

Re: Anaconda
You could try asking in the Ocean Racing section of Sailing Anarchy, a lot of Oz sailors hang out there...
