An adventure has to start somewhere...

Hello cruising world! Our goal is to have our own sailboat ready to go by July 2023. A few things need to happen in the coming months.

Currently we have no boat.

We sold our Capelli 850 RIB a few weeks ago. Although we had motor boats 40+ years in my family and have all required licenses I have little sailing experience. My wife an I do a fair amount of dinghy sailing though.

Unfortunately the used boat market is still crazy (in terms of prices). Hopefully with all asset prices coming down and interest rates climbing this will change this winter.

Hope to find boat (38-40 ft) soon to bug you all with questions.

Welcome aboard Stone! Question for you, with your family's history of motor boating, why the planned change to sail?

Re: An adventure has to start somewhere...

Welcome.

I would suggest updating your profile with your general location and your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

I would happily help more if the link above is not enough.
