Keel boat lessons can be had at the Austin Yacht club on Lake Travis near Austin, I hear.

Hi Tanya, where abouts in Texas are ya? There are several good schools in Texas. I'm familiar with the Clear Lake/ Galveston area. I have used Bay Area Sailing School for my training.

Avatar looks like Canyon or Travis?

There's a decent course in Corpus Christi.

Re: AHoy Maties From Texas!

We have friends at the AYC on Travis. They have a very active sailing program with lots of crew spots for racing.

They also offer ASA courses I believe. We have the kids in their kid program this season and they love it.

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Good to have you here. Advice: Relax and enjoy the sailing. Keelboats are less intense than Lasers.
kind regards,
