Hi I'm new to this site. I just bought a Catalina 30 1983. Beautiful boat, very nice condition with the exception that the diesel engine now will not start. I'm hoping I don't lose the entire sailing season in dealing with this issue. I have been sailing for many years, so I am fully aware of the vagrancies of owning a sailboat especially a 33 year old sailboat even one that has been loved and cared for it's entire life. So wish me luck. I have my boat on Stockton Lake in Stockton Missouri. Very nice sailing lake.

Welcome! If you don't already have it, suggest getting Troubleshooting Marine Diesels, by Peter Compton. It can only either be a fuel or electrical problem, (right?), so it should be a simple fix
