Hello, Steve Shimanek in
American Samoa; I bought a
Lancer 36 a few months ago and have been putting in a lot of time on
repairs, with more to go. I did a valve job and cleaned the
fuel injectors, but the
engine is still tired; i need to do an in
water replacement of the cutlass bearing;
paint the
interior after taking out the old
headliner,
wiring, etc etc. I was a
marine repair professional earlier in life.
I have been reading on this site for a while and thought it was time to register. Sailing goal is to complete preliminary
repairs, sail locally for a while before major
refit and
engine rebuild, then prep for a
South Pacific jaunt before sailing back to
Hawaii, where my wife and I lived for many years before moving here.
Fair winds!
