Hello all you salty sailors! Nice to meet y'all! My husband and I are in the process of buying a '71 Prout Snowgoose 35 sailing catamaran. We're avid scuba divers, and it seems that the next logical step to our adventuring is learning how to sail so we can start accessing the world on our own terms. I did a tiny bit of sailing as a child with my uncle, here on our home waters of Lake Pontchartrain in New Orleans, and it seems like a great place to start getting our sea legs under us. But first we have to get our boat from the west coast of FL over to here, so I'm about to go search the threads looking for delivery captain advice. I'd also love to know anything anyone wants to tell me about the Snowgoose and cruising near Nola. Eventually we want to cross the gulf down to Cozumel and over to the keys and Bahamas and beyond, but first we need to learn to sail! �� -Sandy

Relocation in August in Florida and the Gulf of Mexico. The only wind is 40mph and occurs just before the daily thunderstorms hit. Hope you have a generator, A/C and several hundred gallons fuel capacity.
