It's a mono, oh dear. But your a sailor so welcome.
Crew seems to be a battle between the cost to the crew and the cost to you. If your not comfortable with the boat yet then take on weekend crew to work her up to what really is a longish crossing. Find the faults with spare hands aboard, and a couple of old timers that understand engines, etc. before you do the trip.
That shouldn't be too difficult if you have the time to spend a month away from home.
Otherwise take on a delivery skipper and check his rates against getting it 'carried' home as deck cargo. If he doesn't want a 'opt out' in case he doesn't think the boats up to it then that's a good indicator. Have you seen the boat yourself?

Thanks for the ideas !..It was my fathers yacht before he passed away .. i never sailed on it ..I am a very unexperienced sailer ..I bought it off my family because i love yachts an got it for a good $$..I understand that the size is going to be a major factor to what i am normal too ..i have only ever sailed a hand full of times on a nolex 25 from the north island of nz to the south island of nz ..I will be paying for a skipper an navigator an crew to bring it home for me ..Ile just be there for the ride an to pull ropes an to learn all about it an enjoy the experience..The boat is fully equipped for a crossing like this as its been virtually round the world 3 times ..I deffinatly agree about going for a weekend sail an ironing out the problems an getting the motor majorly checked over ..I am starting a list of things to do an check so 1 day when it happens it will all work smoothly an be a great adventure

Welcome Force 8,

Sorry to hear about your Dad..... maybe you have inherited some of his sailing genes .
Good luck with your planned voyage.

Sounds like you've covered the basics OK. Edit your profile and add boat, location and your location. I don't think there's anty problem adding 'Crew / Help wanted' to your profile so long as you update it when your sorted. You seldom appreciate how much a father means to you until he's not there. Regards to all the family and hope you find keeping up the tradition all you hope for.
