Hello Andrew and welcome to CF. There are a few new members posting from Greece right now. It has been very informative and I hope we hear from you more in the future. Maybe check out Double Whiskeys Greece Tips thread. I will personally appreciate any help you can give me with my itinerary. Ευχαριστώ

Re: Ahoi from Athens/Greece

sail-in-greece: Several years ago I charted a sailboat in Athens and sailed around in the islands southeast of there for three weeks. Moorage at every island we visited was really cheap, and we really enjoyed the charter. I have since read that if you take your own boat into Greece the rates for moorage are not as inexpensive. Is this true? What would be typical rates on Siros or Patos or other islands in the marinas near the main towns?
