Re: A New Beginning

Hello! Mine is a question and I was hopeing that some knowledge person would know the answer. I'm writing about The river seine Paris in 1924 and the questions is; was there sailing/rowing boats on the river at that time and if not, where in Paris could one row?

Sailing boat pics I've seen on the forum are beautiful, unfortunately I don't own one. Cathy.

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Happy cruising.

For Cathy. I can't answer that question but maybe a historian from a library can.

Welcome aboard Cathy. We have a lot of senior members here but none old enough to know this first hand. lol You need a Historian. Best bet would be Gordy May.

Re: A New Beginning

My wife and I dream/plan of doing the same when I retire (5+ yrs out). She also has little sailing experience (a few 1 week charters) but I think she'll be willing to give it a try if we get a large comfortable boat like yours.

Can I ask, did you think of getting a cat? I live in Michigan and the GL marinas are not well suited for cats but my wife prefers them and I'm beginning to as well. Ultimately we will end up in the Carib.

Enjoy the trip,
Yan
