A french join your group
Hi, I am a retired French Chef, and we live (with my wife) in Cozumel, Mexico.
With our cat, a Maxim 380, we sail around the Golf, St Martin, Haïti, Cayman, and next time Cuba, Belise and Bahamas.
I just close the writing of the last edition of my French-English Cook book for cruisers.
Happy to be with you.
have a good day.

Re: A french join your group
Hello and welcome.
As you no doubt noticed, the official language of the forum is English, and it's generally respected. But some of us occasionally stick in comments dans la langue de Molière and get away with it. Especially when talking cooking - for some reason thon à la florentine sounds better than what my mother called tuna noodle casserole.
Apologies for the diversion - I think I'm hungry.

Welcome to CF, Luke. We await your contributions, either re sailing or cooking. Many of us are interested in both!

Gotta eat somewhere, but Paris is a lot better than almost anywhere here.
Welcome.

Bienvenue à un autre français,
Envoie moi le lien de ton livre par Message Personnel, ça nous intéresse beaucoup. Merci d'avance.
Bonne chance et meilleurs vœux de la part d'un nouveau membre français du forum aussi.
Welcome to another French,
You can send me your book link through Personal Mesage, we are interested about that, thanks in advance.
Good luck and best wishes from a French newbie as well.

Hello Capt Luke and welcome to the forum. Boating and eating good food. Great combination.

Hi Luke,
Many thanks for your PM, I downloaded your "aboard cookery book". In my own opinion, books in PDF or Kindle / iBook format are so easy and convenient to save up space and time aboard. So many recipes ! A good piece of simple and easy advice, I like that.
Your "Soupe de poisons de Palavas Les Flots" (fish soup from Palavas Les Flots), this brings me back fondly to my times on my Grandfather's boat (the first "Lutin" of a series) which was moored in Le Grau du Roi close to Palavas Les Flots. I don't know how many times we have been heading to "Le Chalut" see food restaurant in Palavas for enjoying a very good and memorable fish soup there !
Attached picture : in the 1960's, my grandfather at the helm of the "Lutin" #1, Le Grau du Roi or Palavas.
With compliments for the great job,
Bon appétit, fair winds and calm sea,
Olivier
