Little about myself.
Been out on
boats for many a year. My uncles all had
boats growing up (power) and I was always the designated pilot after a day out on the Chesapeake. When I finally got old enough, bought my own
boat and loved every minute of it. Loved going to Havre de Grace MD and cruising the upper bay. After I got married, had to do one of the hardest things, sell the
boat so we could afford a new house and then setting up the nursery.... we've all heard that story before.
Well, here we are 13 years later and I'm ready to get back into it. This time around, not gonna mess with
power boat, gonna go with a sailboat. Have signed us up for a 7
day sailing class in
Key Largo next spring and if we all like it (I'm sure we will) we're gonna start the search for a boat of our own. Probably one with a
trailer to start with and when the bambino goes to college,
work up to a 35-40 footer that we can move onto. Only have 13 more years until full retirement…I know it's going to go fast…so gotta get started!
