We don't own a watercraft presently, but are considering keeping a 1913 barge houseboat in the family. We would need to move it from its current location (not sure to where or how since it's 106' x 21' with 2 floors.) Also needs a new barge in order to be seaworthy. We think the plan is crazy enough that it might just work!

Re: 1913 barge houseboat
Welcome to CruisersForum!
I would suggest updating your profile with your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797
I would happily help more if the link above is not enough.

A house is but a boat so poorly built and so firmly run aground no one would think to try and refloat it.
Dliz3030 tell us more, steel riveted construction or timber? Obviously, you're from the Rothschild or similar family with an old vessel that size.
Cheers
